What We Believe

The gospel we preach explains mankind’s sinful, desperate condition and God’s gracious remedy. All of humanity is contaminated by sin and in need of God’s help. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross for sin, He was buried, He rose from the dead, and He was seen alive by many people afterwards (1 Corinthians 15:1-8). His death on the cross has paid the price to place man back into a right relationship with God. What is required of mankind today to receive God’s remedy? All you must do is place faith in the finished work of Christ, apart from any human works of your own (Titus 2:5). Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved (Acts 16:31). God will save you, give you eternal life, and enable you to live victoriously.

The Salvation Army has eleven Bible-based, Christ-centered doctrines which are arranged in a logical, progressive order that will help you understand what we believe and teach. These 11 doctrines serve to unify The Salvation Army across the entire globe
